Severe Early Childhood Caries (SECC), also known as Baby Bottle Decay can happen to children from the moment a tooth erupts into the mouth. We often hear &#8220;the tooth came out like that&#8221;. The best thing we can do is start brushing from the moment the teeth come through the gums.<\/p>\n<p>Factors that make a child at risk for SECC is drinking milk, juice, or formula at bed time. Breastfeeding can also be a factor once food is introduced in the diet.<\/p>\n<p>Start great habits early to prevent decay on your child&#8217;s teeth!
