Dr. Charmaine Hall
Dr. Charmaine Hall is a registered specialist in Paediatric Dentistry with particular interest in the management of anxious children and children on the autism spectrum. She strongly believes in the whole child approach, and ensures that children and parents feel supported and respected while under her care.
Charmaine graduated from the Melbourne Dental School, University of Melbourne in 2001 and later completed her doctorate in Clinical Paediatric Dentistry in 2010. She has worked as Senior Dental Registrar, Research Fellow and Consultant at the Royal Children’s Hospital of Melbourne where she cared for medically-complex children and served as clinical demonstrator for post-graduate students. Charmaine has also cared for patients in private practice in the western suburbs and CBD of Melbourne since 2015. Charmaine is also the senior Paediatric dentist at the Smile Squad Specialist Hub in Geelong. Charmaine is also a lecturer and examiner at the University of Melbourne.
Charmaine obtained her Fellowship in Paediatric Dentistry with the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons (RACDS) in 2022. She is a current Board Member of the RACDS and is honorary editor of the “College News” magazine.
Dr. Hall strives to make dental care fun and engaging for her patients while setting aside plenty of time to discuss concerns with parents. Charmaine combines a strong work ethic with an engaging approach to bring both honesty and empathy to every appointment. Dr. Hall enjoys watching her young patients grow and is grateful that their parents trust her to be a part of their lives.
When she isn’t treating children in the office or teaching, Dr. Charmaine Hall enjoys spending time with her husband, daughter and 3 cats.

Volunteering
Outside of dentistry, Charmaine is primary carer of her sister who has Autism Spectrum Disorder and other special needs. In 2016, Dr. Hall joined a key stakeholder committee run by Yooralla (a Victorian-based disability service provider) which advises board members on matters of policy and client engagement as well as acting as a liaison body between Yooralla and the National Disability Insurance Agency.
